I know we all use email.

I know we all post on Facebook.

I know it's quick and easy.
But having said all of this…. I love my post office. I go at least once a week to put actual letters and cards in the post.  I send thank you cards, congratulation cards, a document I think might be of use, even newspaper cuttings.  I send these to customers, people I have met at networking and people I’d like to do business with.

Why is this?  Well, in this day and age I think that all we tend to get through the post is boring things – bills, yellow pages and free newspapers.  Anything exciting or interesting is expected – we ordered it from Amazon ourselves!
Do you remember the excitement of the first letter or card you got through the post?   Something unexpected and surprising – the possibilities that unopened envelope held.  
Can we recreate the magic?  I like to think when people receive my card or letter, unexpected, personal and interesting, that they feel the same way.  And how often can you work magic for your customers or prospects?
I love the Post Office.

Oh, and I also love their marketing!
